Radar

The Radar displays an overview of the entire song. The image above shows the same chord repeated for 8 bars (measures). The vertical white line indicates the current position in time. The yellow rectangles indicate the chords - one per bar. The light blue wedge behind these indicates the rising energy level.

The image below is a more typical example.

This shows a song 32 bars long, made up of 4 sections. The vertical position of each yellow rectangle indicates the relative pitch of each chord's root note.

Click with the left mouse button to display a pop-up menu listing various display modes for the Radar...

Harmonic View (Root+Energy) shows the root note of the chords and the energy level (default setting)
Harmonic View (Root+3+5+7) shows all the notes of the chords transposed into a single octave
Chromatic View (Root+Energy) shows the root note of the chords and the energy level
Chromatic View (Root+3+5+7) shows all the notes of the chords transposed into a single octave
Track View shows which motifs are used by which tracks
Energy View shows just the energy level

The Harmonic views show pitches as scale positions (I to VII) relative to the current key. The Chromatic views show pitches as semitone (half-step) positions relative to the song's key - useful for looking at the fine detail of how chords are constructed and for examining songs that use Key Overrides to perform key modulations.

Click with the right mouse button on a section within the Radar to display that section's page in the lower half of the application window.
Use the Playlist to build a song by stringing sections together. Use each section's Chord Arrangement to select the chords and each section's Resets Energy Button to control the energy level.
